Flight Patterns, Fluid Acrobatics & Pure Contact

We begin with contact practices where sensation and proprioception lead to refined skills. Starting from zero—developmental movement patterns, cellular touch, and somatic awareness—we explore the physics and embodiment that support freedom of flight, expression, and connection. Pleasure is our first teacher, with technique emerging through attentive listening. (Pleasure ↔ Technique; Somatics → Acrobatics).

Together we will practice flying, catching, landing, fluid acrobatics, and deft maneuvers. Everyone works at their own level, building confidence through safety, trust, and clear communication. Rather than adding tricks to the dance, we will integrate aerial movement into the continuous flow of contact improvisation.

We'll explore why jumping is not the same as flying: jumping is primarily muscular, while flying emerges through skeletal organization, a shared nervous system, and is deeply influenced by emotion and attitude. Along…
